Double Distillation Units
A range of three fully-automatic water stills, each
producing 4 litres/hr of double distilled water. These stills incorporate
all the features of the AutoFour range, ensuring that they remain
extremely simple to run and maintain. The distillates produced are
of exceptional quality and are pyrogen-free.

Autostill,
Double-D Still
The Double D Still is designed to operate from any
potable water supply. The front boiler is the first stage, making
it easily accessible for cleaning a bypass flushing arrangement
simplifies acid cleaning. The second stage boiler should never need
cleaning.

Double-D WS Still
The Double D WS is similar to the Double D Still,
but has its own water softener to prevent the formation of scale
in the boiler and eliminate the need for periodic boiler cleaning.
Regeneration of the water softener is easy and inexpensive, merely
requiring flushing through with NaCl solution.

Double D-Ionstill
The Double D-Ionstill offers the advantages of a
three-stage purification system, with deionisation followed by two
distillations. Any standard laboratory deioniser may be used. The
Still controls the flow of water from the deioniser, thereby conserving
deionised water tap water is used to cool the condensers.
Since deionised water is used the boilers should never require cleaning.

1.ôConductivity at 25´C with dissolved CO2 removed from distillate.
Any ultra pure water in contact with the atmosphere has a conductivity
of 1”2 µS/cm and pH ~ 5, due to a small amount of CO2 (0.5
ppm) absorbed from the atmosphere. Deionisers and similar
systems
measure conductivity before the water contacts the atmosphere
and absorbs CO2 (during collection and use). As distillates
are already open to the atmosphere before measurements can
be made,
it is necessary to remove this CO2 to provide a comparable
conductivity value.ô
