Rotina 46 bench-top centrifuge
This is a larger sized benchtop centrifuge designed
to handle all common laboratory tubes and applications
up to 400ml capacity. Using the accessory swing-out rotor,
buckets and adaptors, it is possible to spin many common
tube sizes, including 15ml and 50ml falcon tubes.
Please note that the Rotina 46 is supplied without a rotor.
Although this is a discontinued centrifuge, the swing-out
rotor, buckets and adaptors are still available. For full

Sorvall Biofuge Stratos high speed refrigerated benchtop centrifuge
This Biofuge Stratos bench-top model is a high-speed
centrifuge, supplied with a 194-230 HFA 15.50 fixed angle rotor which
accommodates 8x50ml tubes. It is highly adaptable with many high-speed
as well as general purpose applications and is designed to be easy
to use and give many years of trouble-free operation.
The micro-processor controlled induction drive together
with a unique imbalance detection system and automatic lid locking
make the Biofuge Stratos simple to operate. The patented electronic
imbalance detection system is matched to each rotor so false error
messages are eliminated.
A variety of other rotors are available all of which
have been specifically designed for biologically safe centrifugation.
Fixed angle rotors feature a surrounding groove which collects leaked
liquids. The Biofuge Stratos has been independently certified for aerosol
containment by the Centre for Applied Microbiology and Research at
Porton Down.
