Jencons Opens Office in Ireland

Jencons (Scientific) Ltd continues its business expansion with the opening of an office in Bray to house an Irish company with the same name, Jencons (Scientific) Limited. This new company is headed by Tony Harbison as Managing Director, Ireland. Tony comes to Jencons with a wealth of experience across a broad market base from hospitals, research institutions and industry. Prior to his recent appointment, Tony had been running his own laboratory equipment supply business, Asistec, having previously spent 14 years as an executive with a subsidiary of the major Irish company, United Drug PLC.

Jencons (Scientific) Ltd has been established to serve the laboratory market in Ireland with the wide choice of scientific equipment, consumables and instrumentation offered in the Jencons catalogue allied with the quality technical and customer service that has been the basis of its success in the UK.

Tony reports to Mark Prior, Managing Director of Jencons in the UK, who says of the new venture “Tony and his team are well qualified to meet the needs of our customers in Ireland and will provide vital local support. Importantly, they will have the backup of a major laboratory supplier to provide them with marketing, technical and service support as well as e-commerce expertise.”
